Coors Brewery Tour

My sister visited us for the day yesterday. We drove to Golden,CO, had lunch and toured the Coors Brewery!

On our way to the your on the shuttle. We looped around the town of Golden and learned some history.
Here are all of the brands of beer Coors makes.
The start of the self guided tour of the facility.
Here are the brew kettles. It's was pretty warm in there since the kettles reach 130-180 degrees!

Packaging part of the facility.
As we waited in the tasting line the walls had hung advertisements from the early days of Coors.

Beers that were available for tasting. You could choose three!
Here we are at the end of the tour!
Ryder was busy flirting with everyone he saw today, I'd say he had a pretty good time!
Bye Coors!

Let's get crafty for fall!

Today we had some fun creating a seasonal mantle banner!
What you will need:
Scissors
Construction Paper
Hold Punch
Child Safe Paint
Paint Brush
Sharpie/Marker

Cut your paper and punch the holes

Paint your child's hand and place it on the cut paper.
This gets messy especially with a little one.  Make sure to have your craft space spill protected.
(I think Ry had fun doing this)

I have come to the realization that not everything turns out perfect like Pinterest but it makes fun memories =)

I drew thin letters so you could still see his hand prints.

I created two small tassels for the ends to cover up where the tape would go.

Finished product =)

Happy Fall Y'all!

Bedroom Project

I finally updated our bedroom! It was originally a dark red color and wasn't very appealing to the eye.

My husband was away for work last week and it was time to paint!
1st coat of primer.
(I left a little red so you could see just how awful it was)
2nd coat of primer
1st coat of color and it's already looking better!
(If you're on a budget always look at the return paint section at any of your local hardware stores. I found this paint for half the price!)

Green frog tape removed and I'm happy!

A few things... The letters I already had from our wedding and I thrifted the paintings for $5!

That coat of paint made me really happy!

Hippie Cookies

I came across a similar recipe and made it my own.
My husband likes to call them "Hippie Cookies".

Ingredients:
1 1/3 cup flour
1 1/2 cup oatmeal
1/2 cup goji berries
1/4 cup chia seeds
1/4 cup hemp seeds
1/2 tsp Baking powder
1/2 tsp Baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 tbsp vanilla
Steps:
- Combine flour, oatmeal, goji berries, chia and hemp seed, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in bowl. Mix together.
- (Make sure butter is softened.) In another bowl, add brown sugar and vanilla until mixed thoroughly. Add egg.
- Gradually add flour mixture into butter mixture.
- Tablespoon scoops of batter onto cookie sheet.
- Bake at 350 for 10-12 mins.

Hemp Seeds, Goji Berries and Chia Seeds can do great things for your body!
Try any of them in your cooking or baking!

Enjoy!

Ryder's 9 Month Update

Our little nugget is 9 months!

You have become quite the social butterfly when we go out to eat.
When we strap you in the high chair you make sure to make friends at every table. If you don't get the attention you want you fake cough until you are satisfied.

Daddy loves you so much.

He is turning into such a handsome boy.
You can pull yourself up on almost anything. I think walking is in our near future.

I just adore you both.
(Napping at Westlands Park)

Bath time is still your favorite.
He is going to be in the big tub soon!

Ryder is wearing 9-12 month clothes now and size three diapers.

Not a single tooth in sight.

He loves feeding himself the squeeze pouches and he thought himself how to grab puff out of this container.

I really hope his sleeping pattern never changes! He sleeps from about 7:30pm to 7:00am. As long as we have had a routine day he sleeps through the night. Around bedtime you make sure to get every last bit of energy out you can by crawling all over me. It's as if you have so many things to do before bed and you need to finish them now.  You are a funny little man.

Just last week you started giving kisses. My heart melted when you gave me one. On occasion you kiss me just because - you are so sweet.

You have been saying "Da da" since you were 5 months old and just this month you said "Ma ma"!  I just about cried.  We were at a moms group and you just decided you would blurt it out in front of everyone.

Hope your September is going great!

Grandparents come to visit Part 3

Butterfly Pavilion
Nana made sure Ryder was in the best clothes while they were in town.
He is now the best dressed kid on the block.
There were butterflies fling everywhere. It was so much fun!
They released over 100 butterflies while we were there!
We had to take his jacket off, it was so warm.
It got really humid in the butterfly exhibit - don't do your hair, ladies!
He wanted to touch every butterfly in sight.

Another great day of learning and exploring.
Thank you Nana & Tata for a great week of fun!
We miss you already!
